Strong and high waves pounding the beaches of Phuket province Saturday, forcing provincial authorities to consider declaring several beaches as disaster areas.
The waves and winds that are washing the beauty of several beaches which include Surin, Bang Thao, Mai Khao and Kata increased in force and strength  as typhoon Ramassun made landfall on Southern China yesterday causing heavy rains in Thailand’s northeast, east, central parts and the western coast.
